I am a retired child minder of 20 years and 47 children! Just couldn't bear it anymore! Now my home is my own, quiet and clean and nappy free (most of the time)
I live with my husband, bonkers cat and one of my three children...I keep showing him the door,..not interested.
The two girls have their own places, one in maidenhead, the other in Hull (she couldn't far enough away! Bless her little cotton socks!)
I developed My Mood Stars whilst child minding. Personal, Emotional and Social development being close to my heart after being systematically abused my father as a child and losing my twin brother to suicide - yes, I was a mess!
But with My Mood Stars, I felt like I was giving back. I desperately wanted to help children with their emotional wellbeing. Many children struggle with identifying emotions for one reason or another. This is why My Mood Stars are so popular with families of children on the spectrum.
So I've been making My Mood Stars for just over a year and recently a child was able to make a disclosure of abuse through playing with My Mood Stars. This is why I love what I do and hope that these little stars will continue to help children in all sorts of ways.
I was delighted to win Queen of Encouraging feelings - because that's what I do and I love it!
That's me in an egg shell!
