Nikki Britton is the creator and owner of online fashion retailer, Fred&Eve Ltd, also known as the “The Home of the Handbag”.
Nikki studied Fashion Marketing at Teesside University before beginning her career as a fashion retail buyer, working for some of the UK’s largest high street retailers. With considerable experience of buying, product sourcing and production management in the Far East, she decided to pursue her dream of starting and managing her own company and in 2011 quit her job to go it alone.
In February 2012 online fashion store Fred&Eve was born, initially selling ranges of carefully selected fashion clothing, shoes and accessories. Following two years building the business, Nikki decided to focus on her main obsession in life (and the best selling category of the Fred&Eve business), Handbags.
Fred&Eve is now officially Home of the Handbag and the business has relaunched with three distinct British handbag brands: the eponymous Fred&Eve label, a top quality, all leather range of exclusively designed, classically stylish handbags; SaintB, a faux leather range of quality handbags for the mid-level consumer and trulyrocks, which caters to a younger, more fashion-led mass market sector.
Nikki runs Fred & Eve with her husband Jon (a former promotional merchandise executive). They live in Stamford, Lincolnshire and have two children, Lucy aged 10 and Daniel aged 7.
