The Kent Owl Academy, Lock lane

About The Kent Owl Academy Ltd

From a young age I have always had a passion for wildlife, birds of prey in particular. I have a great deal of experience with all types of animals in established working environments.

I have grown up around raptors due to my father being a highly recognised and acclaimed performance falconer for the last 35 years. I am now the owner/managing director of my own bird of prey centre 'The Kent Owl Academy' in Maidstone.
I have had other jobs and roles in the past whilst finishing further and higher education. Although, I have always had an underlying ambition to work with birds and animals within the education sector. I dedicate myself to animals and working with them to both learn and conserve.

I have worked at various zoos/bird of prey centres within the UK, including Africa Alive and The Imperial bird of prey academy in Essex. I held the role of operational manager of the centre and watched it grow significantly since opening. I was striven to bring a dynamic and pro-active approach to the way that Imperial was run and I have witnessed my efforts to be significantly beneficial.  Imperial had even recently been ranked the no.1 attraction in the whole of Essex which is an amazing achievement to have left in shadow as I move forward with my own career adventure.

Finalist at the 2017 Kent Women in business awards.
