Cushions & Embroidered Art
After working in the steel and transport industry for 10 years, I took redundancy in 2002 and retrained in my first love of soft furnishings.
I set up my first business in 2003 but in 2006, just as I was becoming established, my husband's job relocated us to The Netherlands where we had two wonderful years bringing up three young kids in a fabulous outdoor environment.
Fast forward to 2008 and we were back in the UK but I decided to be a full-time Mum until 2013 when I set up Jared Designs, operating locally as a curtain designer and worldwide in cushion design and crafts.
A combination of local contracts and online sales honed my skills but the demand for that individual finishing touch was becoming apparent so I now specialise in eye-catching cushions and custom orders, including embroidered artwork.
Jared Designs allows me to indulge in my passion for interior design, soft furnishings and crafting. With the added bonus of being able to work my hours around my family, I could never go back to my old industry life and I look forward to a very happy and creative future.
