StarBright Designs is all about handmade, unique and quirky everyday fabric items. Every product has a signature Star somewhere on it, and all items are either one offs or limited to very small runs.
The face behind StarBright Designs is me – Charlie! I have been involved with crafts in some shape or form for the last 30 years, and I acquired my first sewing machine approximately 12 years ago. It initially was used to alter rock band t-shirts to fit, as back then only large baggy t-shirts were available, that were designed for men. It then gathered dust for a few years, until one day I came across a Cath Kidston book called Make!. This book gave me so much inspiration, and I discovered how much fun could be had making boring everyday items - just that little bit more funky, and have personality.
This inspiration, plus my obsession with all things Star related, meant that StarBright Designs was born in July 2012.
All of the StarBright Designs items are handmade by me, in my sewing room in South Staffordshire.
