The UK Swap Shop is the Covid busting response created by small businesses for small businesses.
The free to use interactive website was created during the early months of lockdown by three business owners – Rachel Hayward, Ask the Chameleon, Lee Marples and team at think3 and Dean Jackson at Huub - in Derby to support the 5.6m micro businesses across the UK, and based in the Cathedral Quarter at think3 studio.
Run totally for free and funded by the trio, the site has steadily grown beyond its immediate Derbyshire borders, across the East Midlands and finally UK wide in November 2020.
At least 350 swaps have been posted, including headshots for SEO advice, accountancy guidance in return for TikTok videos – anything that the small business owners can offer to help their business to survive and thrive.
Membership has grown and has just celebrated its 1000th member, a goldsmith from Devon.
