Hand sewn items
Oxfordshire
I make a range of products, including unique cases, which all have a bright zip and top stitching to really make the colours pop! Lately, I have started making eco friendly, reusable face wipes, which are perfect for taking off make up.
I am a textiles student who is hoping to go into a career in sewing and fashion. Originally, I learnt to sew using a 1960s Singer sewing machine that my Grandma gifted to me, which I incorporated into my logo, as it has a special place in my heart. I have been totally inspired and supported by her and my Nan who are both amazing role models. They ignited my love of all things crafty by teaching me skills like knitting and painting and always bringing a creative project to work on with me.
Just over a year ago, I created Homemade by Molly to raise money for a charity by selling my hand sewn products. After I had completed my fundraising challenge, I decided to develop Homemade by Molly into a small business. I started selling my products at craft fairs, with the support of my best friend Aimee (thanks so much ;) ). I really enjoyed this, especially being able to talk and connect with customers. During the lockdown, I decided to open an Etsy shop so that I could continue selling my products.
