Hi, I'm Sharon, and I'm based in the Essex countryside juggling my business alongside a full time day job as well as the usual family commitments that we all have to deal with.

A passion for fabrics and a love of making things combined and the business was kind of borne out of necessity - I couldn't keep buying fabric without doing something with it.

I want people to be able to buy everyday items for them or their homes but which aren't everyday or the same as everyone else's. A way for people to be able to express their individuality; after people aren't the same so why should the homewares and accessories they buy be the same?

I regularly sell at local farmers' markets and craft fairs as well as online through my own website and Etsy.  My range has grown considerably since my first market 3 years ago where my stall consisted of one table with some potholders, bookmarks and coasters! 

I am always looking to add items to my range, whether on the homewares or accessories side, taking inspiration from the fabrics I find and deciding what sort of products they could make, as well as everyday items around the home.

I'm committed to attention to detail and excellent customer service.  Everything comes gift wrapped in tissue paper with a little thank you note - it's the small touches that people appreciate and which I think makes small businesses stand out from the crowd and separates us from the high street chains.  

My business name is an anagram of my two children's names (any guesses what they might be?!) and my logo was drawn by my brother, so it is a family affair.

Ultimately, like most creatives and handmade business owners I would like to work on my business full time and 2017 is definitely proving to be the year where great things happen so who knows where Luna Bear Gifts will be come December 31st and as 2018 begins.
