Bespoke wedding dresses, separates and custom embroidered veils a little off the beaten bridal track
I'm a couture bridal designer and dressmaker, specialising in wedding dresses, separates and embroidered veils a little off the beaten track.
In 2020, I ordered to make free made-to-measure wedding dresses for NHS brides who had had to postpone their weddings due to Covid-19. I'm currently (March 2022) making the third. The Telegraph and Metro named me a Covid Hero and Everyday Hero respectively, and I received a Pride of Britain Award nomination.
This year, I have formed a group of wedding dressmakers to volunteer their time to fulfill orders placed with a Ukrainian dressmaker who has had to flee with her team from her atelier in Kyiv. We donate our labour fee to the Ukrainian team to help keep the business going while making sure its brides receive their orders on time.
I'm married with two children in a neurodiverse household with two very tolerant cats and a geriatric hamster. At various stages I have learned and mostly forgotten how to speak German, Japanese and French plus smatterings of Russian and Spanish.
